Question for pregnant women with gestational diabetes. Was your birth induced due to it.?
I am 34 weeks profound as well as upon insulin injections for my gestational diabetes. The alloy told me during 39 weeks might be induced. Can we greatfully discuss it me alternative mothers when they were prompted since of diabetes as well as how it was during first.

here were i live they start at 36 weeks checking with scans to make sure the baby does not get to big as they grow fast with insulin so if you get worried that the baby is to big have the doctor to check for how big and he might have to induce as they did not due it at my friends doctors office they let her carry to the two week over mark and made her deliver natural cause they said he was not big well after several hours of pushing and everything with tearing he came out a little over 12 pounds so i would make them check

I had gestational diabetes and developed high blood pressure near the end of pregnancy.
The doctor did weekly stress test to make sure the baby was doing well.
I was induced at 39 weeks – I was nervous but everything worked out perfectly – wouldn’t want to change anything.
I monitored my diet very closely and took pills twice a day cor the gestational diabetes – my baby weighted 7 pounds 1 ounce.

I have had GD with all of my babies. The first one, my levels were just slightly elevated and I just had to have weekly glucose testing. That baby was born weighing only 6lbs 70z. With my second baby, my levels were controlled with diet. This baby weighed 8lbs 40z.When I was pregnant with baby #3, I was on insulin injections twice a day. I also had NST done twice a week. I had a scheduled induction because she was actually late. When she was born she weighed in at 8lb 3oz. She was the only induction that I had so far. Not only that, but they all were vaginal births. I am currently pregnant for a fourth time, just like the rest I have GD. This baby is already in the 97th percentile for his gestational age. Considering this one’s weight, I just may end up being induced early.
All in all, I would say, that each and every GD outcome varies just like each pregnancy does. GD doesn’t always mean that you will have an exceptionally large baby.

I was induced when I went 1 day over 40 weeks. My daughter was completely normal-sized, though – 7 lb. 6 oz. I am a diabetic before pregnancy. Size is one consideration but also the environment in the placenta can start deteriorating and it can go bad pretty quickly, so they don’t want to take any chances.
