Audio is terrible, which is too bad. This is a metaphor to what the public is getting in general. The experts and the REAL issues go unheard while the politicians give us noisy nonstop meaningless soundbites.

I’m currently hearing that it would be paid for through premiums, like normal insurance. No taxpayer input. However, history has a way of showing the truth of government programs. Good intentions with negative outcomes. They tend to cost more than expected. They tend to adversely affect the free market and the economy in general. They tend to have adverse unintended consequences. National healthcare is probably inevitable. We’ll see how it all plays out.

Yes. I have. I send my packages internationally for a quarter of the cost I do at FedEx or UPS. And the DMV has been nothing to complain about either for my needs. They are in a rut recently with the sudden influx of people applying for driver positions which require a CDL, but that is to be expected when the only jobs available are driving positions. The job market needs to be the next focus of this administration after health care. Lets not hinder steps to finish what we started.

Guess you don’t understand how these systems work. A private company will be hired to actually process the claims just like is done with Medicare and it works very well. Claims are handled quickly and I’ve never had claim denied in the 10 years I’ve been on Medicare. If you switch from Faux news to a media that gives legitimate information you might actually learn something.

I for one am in dire need of the health reform bill. I am a college student, on my parents health insurance–provided through my father’s military retirement–until the day I turn age 23. Unfortunately, that is in 1 year. I don’t graduate for 3 years. Since I am in school, and cannot sustain a career, I will have NO EMPLOYEE SPONSORED HEALTH CARE, relegating me only to the individual market. Talk about getting f*cked.

Obama will have to hire a minimun of 500,000 MORE GOVERN=MENTAL workers and install them in a TAX PAYER funded Ivory TOWER and they will be taught to say one thing to all questions and calls that they receive = DENIED! Can you imagine your Doctor trying to call them on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. with a emergency request! lol! ……..you will have to wake up dead and re-dial on Monday when the workers get back from their 666th coffee break! PUBLIC HEALTH will be a killing field for WE THE PEOPLE

We have a real crises. At least 45 million uninsured and millions more underinsured. Think it’s not YOUR problem. Wait till you get laid off. Millions of people are declaring bankruptcy because they can’t pay for their urgent health needs.
Think Obama is to blame for everything? Tough shit, he’s YOUR president now. Until you vote him out in three years. Deal with it, we had to deal with that illiterate dipshit that was in for eight years.

This is ILLEGAL!!… The gov can not force us or order us to take on gov ran health or any other care system.. IT IS ILLEGAL!!.. Also the “medical” panel will ask for “ALL” tax returns from the IRS (FACT) so they can see how much you need to pay and maybe a little more for those who can afford a lot (Socialism). And then don’t forget the ACORN’S who want to spreed the wealth around…

if ‘liberals’ still think this is a left right issue I suggest you listen to the above link. I would also encourage you to read the book ‘propoganda’ put out by the CIA in the 1960′s about TV being used as a brainwashing tool. Don’t you guys every wonder why you repeat the same exact arguments from the TV? Have you ever thought about doing research on your own? How do you measure quality care in a setting of different pay rates for same services? As mentioned earlier, you can’t cherry pick the patients and a high risk community will have poorer outcomes for same or even better services. Also having higher copays for services outside criteria because that lends to more expenses at the MD office to prove to the insurance what’s really necessary. And Milliman Care Guidelines LLC should never have that last say!!!!! Damn number crunchers.

public option is needed along with health care reform! i dont trust the cov any less than i do the current for-profit setup. the gov does ok with vet care and medicare.
